Wayne Rutherford

Wayne Rutherford is the President  and Chief Executive Officer of both Wayne Rutherford General Contractor, Inc. (WRGC), and Rutherford Construction Associates, Inc.  A licensed and insured New Mexico General Contractor, Wayne has more than thirty-three years trade experience in the construction industry as a laborer, carpenter, mason, foreman, superintendent and construction company CEO. Raised in California and having served in the U.S. Marine Corps, Wayne entered the construction industry in Northern California in 1975, working as a laborer, concrete mason and carpenter. In 1978, he moved to Taos NM to pursue his personal ambitions in the construction industry.

The skills he developed in California helped him establish a foothold in the community working both for himself and others doing typical “handyman” work and  you want to famished working on solar home projects. His business quickly grew and in 1983 he established Wayne Rutherford Carpentry, a sole proprietorship. In 1985, Wayne earned his New Mexico General Contractors license, and the rest, as they say, is history. With annual sales now approaching $2M, and decades of experience in virtually all aspects of commercial and residential construction, Wayne continues to set the standard for quality, integrity, innovation, and community service in construction in northern New Mexico.
